Rain and snowfall alert in 7 states including Himachal
IMD Weather Update: A new western disturbance is becoming active in many parts of the country. Its effect can be seen more in the western Himalayan region and plains from 29 February to 4 March. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the impact of western disturbance, there may be light to moderate rain with thunderstorm in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh during the next 24 hours. There is also an alert of snowfall. Apart from this, warning of rain and hailstorm with thunder has been issued in different areas of Telangana, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh today.
Hail will fall in many areas
The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of rain, hailstorm and lightning in Central India on 26 and 27 February. There may be hailstorm along with rain at isolated places in East Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha. There is a possibility of damage to farmers’ crops due to hailstorm.
Rain and snowfall alert in Himachal Pradesh
Cold wave conditions persist in the tribal areas and hills of Himachal Pradesh and light snowfall has occurred at some places. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain at some places in the central hills on February 26, 27 and 29 and at many other places on March 1. The weather office has also issued a ‘yellow’ alert for this, warning of storm and lightning at different places on 26, 27, 29 February and March 1 and 2.
Delhi-NCR weather
Cold continues in Delhi-NCR in the morning and evening. An increase in cold is being seen during the last 24 hours. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature in the national capital on Sunday was recorded at 8.3 degrees Celsius, which is four degrees below the season’s average temperature. IMD said there is a possibility of cloudy sky and drizzle at night on Monday.
Chances of drizzle in Rajasthan
Cloudy conditions and drizzle have been predicted in many parts of Rajasthan. According to this, due to the effect of a weak western disturbance, there is a possibility of cloudy sky and drizzle at isolated places in some parts of the state on 26-27 February. The weather center informed that there is a strong possibility of another intense western disturbance becoming active from March 1-2. Due to its effect, there may be rain with thunder and strong winds at some places in some parts of the state in the first week of March.
