The National Investigative Agency (NIA) on Tuesday conducted raids at 30 locations across 4 states and 1 Union Territory in a terrorist-gangster nexus case involving terrorist Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dala and several suspects of the Ban Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF). NIA teams have conducted raids in Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and the Union Territory of Chandigarh.

The premises raided by the NIA today were in an NIA case involving various suspected associates of terrorist Dala as well as Baljit Maur and Australia-based Gurjant Singh. In this raid, NIA has seized objectionable material including digital devices, which have been confiscated. This entire case pertains to the criminal activities of KTF and other terrorist organizations which includes smuggling of dangerous hardware like arms, ammunition, explosives, IEDs and narcotics etc. across the international borders.

According to the NIA investigation, the smuggled items were to be used by members/members of terrorist organizations and organized criminal gangs operating in different parts of the country to carry out various terrorist activities, including extortion to raise funds for the KTF. , killings, recruitment of youth, smuggling of arms and narcotics into India etc. Investigation revealed that Dala, Maur and Gurjant had conspired to carry out such activities to further their terrorist agenda.
