To make Mathura’s special milk peda, first of all you have to pour about 5 cups of milk in a pan. You have to boil this milk for about 8 minutes. Do not forget to stir the milk in between or else it will start burning. When the milk boils well and thickens, then you have to mix one-fourth cup of cream in it. The milk will become creamy in about half an hour. Let’s know about its further steps.
Add sugar
Keep stirring the milk on low flame. After about 50 minutes a thick paste of milk will be ready. Now you have to add about a quarter cup of sugar to this paste. Do not forget to keep stirring the milk paste on low flame until the sugar dissolves completely. If the milk and sugar mixture starts sticking to the pan, then you can use one spoon of ghee.
Mix cardamom powder and mawa
When this milk-sugar paste starts leaving the pan, then you have to mix one-fourth spoon cardamom powder in it. Now let this mixture cool down a little and then add mawa to it. Make peda shaped balls from this mixture. If you want, you can also make any design in this peda as per your wish.
