The governor confirmed the attack
Regional governor Roman Basurgin said on the Telegram messaging app that an enemy country Ukraine had carried out a drone attack on an apartment in the city of Saratov. Basurgin said a woman was hospitalized in critical condition. Doctors are struggling to save her life.
Russia claims to have destroyed 9 Ukrainian drones
At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry said that its air defense systems have destroyed 9 drones in the Saratov region, which is about 900 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. Flights at Saratov airport have been banned amid Ukraine’s drone attack. Earlier, Governor Basurgin said that emergency services also failed at the affected sites in Saratov and Engels.
