BJP can become stronger in Rajya Sabha, 2 MPs of this party broke away; 5 more can leave the party

YSRCP has been facing setbacks since its defeat in the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections. Now the party is getting divided in the Rajya Sabha. It is reported that on Thursday itself, two MPs of the party of former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy of the South Indian state have resigned. At the same time, there are possibilities that 5 more Rajya Sabha MPs may resign. At present, the party has not said anything officially about this.

According to media reports, YSRCP’s Mopidevi Venkat Raman and Beeda Mastan Rao resigned from the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. After this, speculation of resignation of more MPs has intensified. However, this is expected to give a big advantage to the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). It is being said that both the parties are in touch with the YSRCP MPs and are offering to support them in the by-elections.

According to the Times of India report, sources have said that 5 more MPs may resign. These include Golla Babu Rao, R Krishnaiah, Parimal Natwani, Ella Ayodhyarami Reddy and Meda Raghunath Reddy. Ramana says that he will join TDP and fulfill his desire to work under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

He has alleged that the YSRCP leadership ignored his request to retain him in the assembly several times, due to which he was forced to go to the Rajya Sabha. Rao was also a member of the TDP before changing the party. The special thing is that he was also an assembly member from TDP. He has resigned from the Rajya Sabha citing personal reasons.

Quoting sources, the newspaper has written that former CM Jagan Reddy’s MPs are dissatisfied with him, due to which the way to Rajya Sabha has opened for TDP. Till now the party had 11 MPs, due to which YSRCP was in fourth place in Rajya Sabha after BJP, Congress and Trinamool Congress, but after the departure of 9 MPs, it has come below DMK and AAP. Both the parties have 10-10 MPs in Rajya Sabha.
