Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren will join the BJP on Friday. Along with Champai, thousands of his supporters will also be given membership in the Milan cum Abhinandan ceremony organized by the state BJP at the branch ground in Dhurva, Ranchi. Many big leaders of the BJP will be present at the Milan ceremony.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Champai Soren said that BJP is the biggest party in the country. It is not decided what his role will be in the party, but he will fulfill whatever responsibility the party entrusts him with.
Union Agriculture Minister and BJP’s state election in-charge Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Laxmikant Bajpai, State President Babulal Marandi, former CM Arjun Munda, Leader of Opposition Amar Kumar Bauri will be present at the gathering. The Governor has accepted Champai Soren’s resignation from the Council of Ministers. The information about Champai not being a minister was released on Thursday. Champai had resigned from the post of Minister of Water Resources, Higher and Technical Education Department on Wednesday.
These will be the new ministers in Hemant government
JMM MLA from Ghatshila, Ramdas Soren will be the new minister in the Hemant cabinet. Governor Santosh Gangwar will administer the oath of ministership to him at 10:30 am on Friday. Chief Minister Hemant Soren will be present along with other members of the cabinet and other MLAs during the swearing-in ceremony.
Ramdas Soren is getting entry in the cabinet after Champai Soren’s resignation. 50-year-old Ramdas Soren has become MLA twice from 2009 to 2014 and 2019. Ramdas, who was a Jharkhand agitator, is a resident of Tampara in Ghatsila. Currently, he lives in Ghorabandha, Jamshedpur. Ramdas, who has studied till graduation, is also the district president of JMM East Singhbhum. Experts believe that Ramdas has been included in the Hemant cabinet to sharpen JMM’s strategy in Kolhan due to former CM Champai Soren’s rebellion. He will play an active role in Kolhan.
