  • First step- To make makhana kheer, heat about two spoons of ghee in a pan and then add one cup makhana in it.

  • Second step- Roast the makhana on low flame for about 4 minutes i.e. until it becomes crispy. Now let the makhana cool down and then grind it coarsely.

  • Third step- In the same pan, you have to fry cashews, almonds and pistachios in ghee till they become light golden.

  • Fourth step- After this, put about one liter of milk in a pan and let it heat up. When the milk boils well, then you have to add roasted makhana to it.

  • Fifth step- Let the milk boil on low flame. When the makhanas become soft, you can add one-fourth cup of sugar to the milk.

  • Sixth step- After this, add roasted dry fruits to the milk. To enhance the taste of makhana kheer, do not forget to mix 4 crushed green cardamoms and 8 saffron strands in it.

After mixing all the things, you have to cook the kheer on low flame for about 8-10 minutes. When the makhana kheer thickens a little, then you can keep the kheer in the fridge. Now you can enjoy the taste of cold kheer. After eating this kheer during the fast, all your weakness will go away and you will feel energetic.
