Congress candidate and wrestler Vinesh Phogat has reacted to the allegations made by BJP leader and former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. She said that once again Brij Bhushan will be proven wrong. Phogat said that whatever Brij Bhushan has said so far has been proven wrong. The same is going to happen again.
Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh had claimed that Vinesh Phogat has proved that the allegations of sexual abuse against her and the subsequent protest were planned by the Congress party. He said that Phogat had violated the rules of the Olympics. Trying in two different weight categories on the same day became the reason for her disqualification. God gave the verdict even before the final bout.
Singh said, when the protest started at Jantar Mantar, I had said that this is not a movement but Congress is behind it. Bhupendra Singh Hooda, Deepender Hooda, Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were behind this. In this way it is proved that Deepender Hooda and Congress were involved in the conspiracy against me. He said that I was not present in Delhi on the day the incident is alleged. Daughters were defamed for politics. Whereas these female players were not fighting for respect but for politics.
Phogat told NDTV, “Two BJP leaders had taken permission to sit at Jantar Mantar. They should have seen it. They would have got all the answers. As far as the Olympics are concerned, what he says does not matter. Think about what he said earlier. If any woman accuses him, he will hang himself. He said that I was promoted by being dishonest. I have proved him wrong at every turn and the same will happen in future as well.”
Let us tell you that after the former MP’s comment, BJP has also said that he should not create controversy with his statements. Many players had accused Brijbhushan Sharan Singh of sexual exploitation. After this, Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia protested at Jantar Mantar. Brijbhushan Sharan Singh was an MP from Kesarganj. However, that time BJP had given ticket to his son. Vinesh Phogat has been given ticket by Congress from Julana seat in Haryana Assembly. At the same time, Bajrang Punia has been made the working president of All India Kisan Congress in the party.
