A hand grenade has been thrown at a bungalow in Chandigarh’s posh Sector-10. People were shocked by its blast. Three attackers came in an auto. After the incident, they fled towards Mohali. No one is reported to be injured in the attack. Chandigarh Police team, DIG and IG reached the spot and investigated. A CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced. Police has cordoned off the entire area and evidence is being collected.
NRI owns a bungalow
At around 6:30 pm, a hand grenade was thrown at bungalow number 575 in Chandigarh’s posh Sector 10. This bungalow belongs to an NRI. During the blast, glass panes of many nearby bungalows broke. There is no information yet about the people who threw the bomb-like object. As soon as the incident was known, the bomb squad reached the spot. CCTV footage is being scanned. DGP Surendra Yadav, IG Rajkumar, SP Kanwardeep Kaur, SP Mridul and DSP Gurmukh along with police from nearby police stations have reached the spot. The CFSL team has also reached the spot.
