Quad leaders meeting on September 21
Announcing Prime Minister Modi’s visit, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that on September 21, the PM will attend the ‘Quad’ leaders’ summit in Wilmington, Delaware, which will be hosted by US President Joe Biden. This year it was India’s turn to host the Quad summit.
Now India will host the Quad meeting in 2025
The Ministry of External Affairs said, ‘Following the US request to host the Quad Summit this year, India has agreed to host the next Quad Summit in 2025.’ The Ministry of External Affairs said, ‘At the Quad Summit, the leaders (of the four member countries of the group) will review the progress achieved by the Quad in the last one year and set an agenda for cooperation in helping the countries of the Indo-Pacific region meet their development goals and aspirations.’
PM Modi will address the people of the Indian community
The Ministry of External Affairs said that Prime Minister Modi will address the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the United Nations General Assembly in New York on September 23. In New York, the Prime Minister will address the Indian community on September 22.
PM Modi will talk on these issues
The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement, ‘The Prime Minister will also interact with CEOs of leading US companies to promote extensive cooperation between the two countries in cutting-edge areas of AI (artificial intelligence), quantum computing, semiconductors and biotechnology.’ Along with this, PM Modi will also interact with experts and other active stakeholders in the India-US bilateral scenario.
