Yash Chopra, a veteran Bollywood director, has gifted Hindi cinema with many great love stories. One such film, Veer Zaara, which was released in 2004, is one of them. Released on 12 November 2004, this film was a superhit at the box office. People loved the chemistry of Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta in this film.

Made with a budget of just 23 crores, this film was successful in earning 97 crores and 64 lakhs at the box office. Now after 20 years, the film has been re-released not once but twice. But the film’s earnings in both these re-releases were not surprising. However, after being re-released twice, the film has definitely entered the club of films earning 100 crores.

‘Veer Zaara’ reached the 100 crore club with pride

This film starring Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta is one of the best love stories of Bollywood. Stars like Kiran Kher, Rani Mukerji, Divya Dutta, Boman Irani, Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher, Hema Malini and Amitabh Bachchan were also seen in the film. In 2004, this film was awarded the title of the highest grossing film of the year. Leaving behind films like ‘Dhoom’, ‘Murder’ and ‘Main Hoon Na’, this film earned 97 crores 64 lakh rupees. After this, the film has been re-released twice after 20 years. However, after the re-release, the film has not earned as per expectations.

But still, after being re-released twice, the film has definitely entered the 100 crore club. The film was re-released in February 2023. On this occasion, the film earned Rs 30 lakh. After this, the film was re-released again in September 2024. This time the film earned more than Rs 1.45 crore. With this earning, this film has joined the list of films earning 100 crores.
