Rishabh Pant’s comeback after 638 days, equals Dhoni by scoring a century, breaks ‘Gabbar’s’ record – Hindustan News Hub

As soon as he completed his half-century, Pant changed his gear and started playing big shots all over the field. After this, he soon took his personal score beyond 80 by scoring 5 fours and 1 six. Till lunch, he was playing after scoring 82 runs. Immediately after lunch, he completed his century and created a new record.

Shikhar Dhawan had scored 2315 runs in 58 innings of 34 Test matches. Now Pant has left Dhawan behind in terms of Test runs by scoring a half-century in the second innings of the Chennai Test. Pant has scored more than 2400 runs in the same number of innings as Shikhar Dhawan, which includes 6 centuries and 11 half-centuries. Pant has become the 32nd Indian batsman to score the most runs in Test cricket. At the same time, Dhawan has slipped to the 33rd position.
