After the Tirupati fat controversy, Pawan Kalyan is doing penance by sweeping the temple, VIDEO

The controversy over the use of animal fat in the Prasad Laddus available in Tirupati is not coming to an end. In view of the allegations of adulteration, FSSAI has issued a show cause notice to a Tamil Nadu-based company for allegedly supplying substandard ghee to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. Meanwhile, the 11-day ‘prayashchit’ of Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM and veteran actor Pawan Kalyan is going on. After this controversy came to light, he had said that he was very upset about such an incident and he regretted that he could not do anything about it. On Tuesday morning, he was seen sweeping the Durga Malleswara Swamy temple in Vijayawada.

The issue of using animal fat in Tirupati laddus came to light when Andhra Pradesh CM and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu made allegations. Naidu alleged that during the previous Jagan Mohan Reddy government, poor quality ghee was used in Tirupati temples, and even animal fat was used in laddus. YSR Congress immediately reacted to these allegations and called them baseless.

Pawan Kalyan’s atonement by October 1

From Monday, Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan has started 11 days of penance for adulteration in laddus. On Tuesday, he reached Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam in Vijayawada and swept the stairs of the temple. Pawan Kalyan will do penance in the temple till October 1. After this, he will go to Lord Venkatesh temple and ask for forgiveness from the Lord.

If such an incident had happened in a mosque…

Pawan Kalyan said, “If such an incident had happened with a church or mosque, there would have been chaos in the country. It would have become a topic of discussion around the world and made headlines in global news.” He said, “But when the sentiments of crores of Hindus have been hurt, they say we should not raise this issue because we are secular. Don’t Hindus have sentiments?”
