Yuvraj and Dhoni

Years have passed since former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh left cricket. In the year 2019, he said goodbye to international cricket. Even after retirement, Yuvraj often remains in the news. In fact, last year one of his statements made a lot of headlines. On his relationship with Dhoni, he had said that both of them are not close friends. Yuvi had said that both of them are friends only because of cricket, not outside the field because the lifestyle of both of them is quite different. This statement of Yuvraj then became quite viral on social media.

Now once again Yuvraj Singh was asked a question about Dhoni and he answered in a very brilliant manner. In fact, when asked in the Club Prairie Fire Podcast in the context of IPL, who among Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma would he like to select and whom would he like to keep on the bench, Yuvraj Singh replied brilliantly. Yuvraj said that as a player, if it comes to T20 cricket, I will choose Rohit Sharma. He is a great captain and someone who can change the game with his batting, he will definitely be their first choice.

Dhoni and Rohit are the most successful captains

Yuvraj further said that he would like to seat himself on the bench because taking the name of either Virat or Dhoni would become a headline. He doesn’t want that to happen. We all are very intelligent, we know who should sit on the bench, but he will take the name of Rohit Sharma. MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma are the most successful captains in the history of IPL, having won five titles each for their respective teams. Dhoni has won five trophies for CSK in the years 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021 and 2023. At the same time, Rohit has made Mumbai win IPL in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020 seasons. Both Dhoni and Rohit are no longer the captains of their respective teams.
