Special conversation with Congress General Secretary Avinash Pandey.
Recently elections of Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir have been completed. Congress’s performance at both the places was disappointing. Meanwhile, political discussions have intensified regarding the by-elections to be held on 10 seats in UP. Samajwadi Party has also announced its candidates for 6 out of 10 seats. In such a situation, the question now arising is whether the alliance between Congress and SP will continue in UP or will SP declare its candidates on the remaining seats also. National General Secretary of Congress and in-charge of UP Congress, Avinash Pandey had a special conversation with India TV on similar questions.
What did you say on the rift with SP?
When Avinash Pandey was asked about SP declaring 6 candidates in UP, he said that there is no rift with Samajwadi Party, whatever is there will be resolved. He said that the six seats on which Samajwadi Party has declared candidates is an internal matter of his party. He said that we have to fight together in Uttar Pradesh, only India alliance will fight. Avinash Pandey said that Congress has made complete preparations for the by-elections on 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh. According to the India alliance, candidates will be declared there. Congress has made preparations to defeat BJP there by any means possible.
There will be discussion on seat sharing
Avinash Pandey further said that Congress will hold 10 rallies for the by-elections, out of which 5 have taken place and 5 are going to take place. He said that the people there want change. He said that whatever further talks will be held with the Samajwadi Party will be based on coordination. More important than the number of seats is that BJP can be defeated there. Regarding Maharashtra elections, Congress General Secretary Avinash Pandey said that India alliance is going to win in Maharashtra and is going to give a stable government. The decision on which party will be the Chief Minister in Maharashtra will be taken after the elections.
