On the day of Karva Chauth, married women observe a fast for their husbands throughout the day and then break their fast at night by drinking water from their husbands’ hands. To make this day special, people like to make something sweet in their homes. If you too are bored of making rice kheer and want to try something new, then you should definitely try the recipe of Jafrani kheer. Let us know about the easy way to make this famous kheer of Hyderabad.

First step- To make Jafrani Kheer, first of all you have to wash a cup of rice and soak it in water for a few hours.

Second step- Now take four spoons of milk in a bowl and put 10-15 saffron threads in it.

Third step- Heat one liter milk in a thick bottomed pan on low flame. Fry the soaked rice in one spoon of ghee till the milk becomes hot.

Fourth step- After this, add fried rice to boiling milk and keep stirring. When the rice is cooked, you can add 150 grams of sugar to it.

Fifth step- To enhance the taste of this kheer, add one spoon cardamom powder and saffron threads to it.

Sixth step- Cook the kheer thoroughly and turn off the gas. After this, heat ghee in a pan and fry 2 spoons each of finely chopped almonds, cashews, pistachios and raisins.

When you mix all these dry fruits in this kheer, then your Zafrani Kheer will be ready to serve. Your heart will be happy as soon as you taste this kheer after Karva Chauth fast. After eating this special Jafrani Kheer of Hyderabad, you will find the taste of rice kheer bland.
