According to the report of Cricbuzz, during the talks between the Foreign Ministers of India and Pakistan, S. Jaishankar and Ishaq Dar, the issue of Champions Trophy was discussed several times from Pakistan’s side. During this, Pakistan Cricket Board President Mohsin Naqvi was also involved. Mohsin Naqvi is also a minister in the government of Pakistan. Many speculations regarding S Jaishankar’s visit to Pakistan have again given a new direction.
It has also been revealed in the reports that PCB has written a letter to BCCI. In which it is written that if the Indian team does not want to stay in Pakistan due to security reasons, then the players of Team India will be allowed to return to India after every match played in the Champions Trophy. In such a situation, Team India can stay in Chandigarh or New Delhi after the match is over. A PCB official also said that there will be about a week’s time between the last two matches of the Indian team.
All India matches can be held in this city
The Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan from 19 February to 9 March. PCB has decided to hold all India’s matches in Lahore, because Lahore is closest to the India-Pakistan border. In such a situation, it will be easy for Team India and Indian fans to come to Pakistan. PCB has selected a total of three venues for the tournament. Apart from Lahore, the names of Rawalpindi and Karachi are included. Team India will play a total of three matches during the league stage. In which matches are to be played against Bangladesh on 20 February, Pakistan on 23 February and New Zealand on 2 March. Although this is not an official schedule yet, PCB has prepared such a schedule for the Indian team and sent it to ICC. Even after all this, if India refuses to go to Pakistan, then PCB and ICC have made some different plans for Team India. The participation of the Indian team is very important for this tournament.
