Charkhi Dadri: A big revelation has come to light in the murder case of Sabir Malik, a youth from West Bengal, on August 27 in Badhra located in Charkhi Dadri district of Haryana. Sabir was beaten to death by alleged cow vigilantes after accusing him of eating cow meat. The meat seized from the slums has not been found to be beef in the government lab. Disclosing the matter, Badhra’s DSP Bharat Bhushan said that the report of the meat sample taken for testing has come from the Faridabad lab. He said meat from preserved animals was not found in the samples.
10 accused arrested, 6 still absconding
DSP said that a total of 10 accused have been arrested by the police in this case. He said that six accused have not been arrested yet. The DSP said that the police will soon present a challan in the court in the murder case. Let us tell you that on August 27, Sabir Malik, a resident of West Bengal, was beaten to death in Badhra on suspicion of cooking meat of a banned animal. His body was recovered from Hanswas Khurd. When the matter gained momentum, the murderers were arrested by the police.
Sabir’s death made headlines at the national level
A team had also reached there to collect samples of meat recovered from the utensils of the slums of migrant laborers built near Hansawas Khurd. In the presence of the then police station in-charge Jaybir, a sample of meat was taken and sent to Faridabad lab for testing. The report of that sample has now reached the police in which the meat found in the utensils has not been declared to be from a protected animal.
