Uttar Pradesh News: A surprising news is coming out from India’s largest state Uttar Pradesh. The news is related to the education department where the government has decided to close 27 thousand government schools running in the state, after the decision is implemented, the department will soon lock these schools. It is being told that the government has to take this decision due to the decreasing number of students. For this, the DG has given instructions to the BSAs of all the districts in this regard in the recently held review meeting.
Schools which have less than 50 students will be locked
27 thousand basic schools are going to be closed soon in Uttar Pradesh, the education department is preparing to merge these schools. It is being told that the schools which have less than 50 children will be closed and their students will be shifted to the nearest school. The Basic Education Officer will prepare a report in this regard by November 14 and submit it to the government. Let us tell you that 27764 government schools in the state have less than 50 students, so these schools with less number of students will be merged with nearby schools. Schools have also been instructed to keep in mind which nearby government school the school can be merged with.

Opposition targeted
The opposition is continuously attacking the government regarding this decision of the government. BSP President Mayawati has raised questions on this decision of the government by sharing a post on social media platform X. He said that this decision of Uttar Pradesh government is completely wrong. Instead of improving these 27 thousand dilapidated schools, the government is going to close them, which is completely unfair. In such a situation, where will the poor children go?
