The Central Government issued guidelines for air passengers regarding the use of internet services during flight. The Central Government has issued an order today and said that during air flight, passengers will be able to use internet services through Wi-Fi only after reaching an altitude of 3 thousand meters. The central government order states that passengers can use electronic devices only in aircraft that have reached an altitude of 3000 meters.

Why was this rule brought?

The Central Government has given these instructions under the Flight and Sea Connectivity Rules 2018. In which permission to provide mobile communication services is given only after the aircraft reaches a height of 3000 meters in Indian airspace. This order will have to be followed for air passengers only in Indian airspace. This has been done by the Central Government to avoid interference with the terrestrial mobile network. The Central Government has given these instructions in its notified new rules.
