Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has expressed concern over the attack on Hindu temple in Canada. Describing the attack as more than an isolated incident, he said he was deeply saddened by the incident and hoped the Canadian government would take necessary steps to ensure the safety of the Hindu community there.

“Solidarity with Hindus is shown less”

Pawan Kalyan said in a post on social media on Monday night that Hindus are a global minority, hence they are given very little attention, less solidarity is shown with them and they are easily targeted. He said every act of hatred, every case of abuse against Hindus is a blow to all those who value humanity and peace. He said that I am deeply saddened to see that our Hindu brothers and sisters in countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan and recently Bangladesh are facing oppression, violence and unimaginable suffering.

Both pain and worry: Deputy CM

Pawan Kalyana said that today the attack on a Hindu temple and Hindus in Canada is a blow to the heart. This creates both pain and anxiety. He said that this is not an isolated incident and incidents of violence and targeted hatred against Hindus continue in various countries, yet the silence of global leaders, international organizations and so-called peace-loving NGOs is frightening. He said that this is not just an appeal for compassion, but a call to action, which the world must accept and address the suffering of Hindus with the same urgency and commitment as it does for others.

What is the matter?

Let us tell you that Khalistani supporters had targeted a group of devotees in the Hindu temple in Brampton, Canada on Sunday. After this incident, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had said that incidents of violence in the temple are unacceptable. Every Canadian has the right to practice his or her religion freely and safely.
