For this, the intake of vitamin C is very important. For vitamin C, you should consume more citrus fruits like orange, seasonal, amla etc. Apart from this, use more green leafy vegetables, seasonal vegetables etc. During the winter season, the risk of weakening of bones is high, so our body’s need for calcium increases. Especially the elderly. For this, it would be good to consume peanuts, dairy products, seeds, buttermilk, beans, lentils, almonds etc. Seasonal vegetables also contain adequate amounts of calcium.

It prevents sodium from accumulating in the body. This increases the metabolic rate, which helps in controlling the weight.

Consumption of almonds, walnuts is very beneficial in winter. It contains omega-3 fatty acids which improve heart health. All these are hot, due to which there is a feeling of heat in the body.
