I still remember the beautiful handwritten letter he sent me on my 75th birthday. It was one of the sweetest gifts I have ever received.

Sulochana Latkar was awarded the Padma Shri in the year 1999. Latkar is survived by his daughter Kanchan Ghanekar. His last rites will be performed at Shivaji Park cremation ground in Dadar at 5 pm on Monday.
