Bengaluru Police summons Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhant Kapoor in drug case, gets 7 days deferment

Siddhant Kapoor, brother of Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor, is making headlines last month after he came to the fore in a drug abuse case. The news of his arrest shook the fans but Shakti Kapoor’s son got bail only after 1 day. Now he is again in the limelight when the Ulsoor Police of Bengaluru has summoned him in connection with the drug abuse case registered against him. The Bollywood actor was arrested on June 13 at a hotel in MG Road, where blood tests revealed that he had consumed drugs.

According to a Times of India report, the police had called him to check the CCTV video on the night he was at a party. He was caught there along with four other people. Reportedly, Kapoor told the police that he was given a drink by one man and a cigarette by another and that he was not aware of how the drugs got mixed in his system. Around 35 people present in the party were tested for blood and out of them five more people including Siddhanth Kapoor were found positive.

The reports further stated that Ulsoor police has asked Siddhant Kapoor to appear before the investigating officer within a week so that they can go through the CCTV footage seized during the raid. This will reveal who gave the actor drinks and cigarettes while he was at the DJ. Reports said that the police also wanted clarity on some of the data obtained from Kapoor on his mobile phone, which was confiscated. Ulsoor police on Tuesday issued a notice to Siddhant asking him to appear before him within 7 days.

Along with this, let us tell you that the actor was granted bail in the case just a day after his arrest last time. After his release, a statement was given in which he praised the Bangalore Police for doing a good job.
