A report in Chennai Times has claimed that Jhanvi Kapoor is being approached for the lead role opposite Arya in ‘Paiyaa 2’, which will be directed by Linguswamy. Regarding the news of Jhanvi Kapoor’s Tamil debut, now her father Boney Kapoor has shared a post on Twitter in which he has written, ‘Dear media friends, let me share this information with you that Jhanvi Kapoor has not done any Tamil film at this time. Has not committed. I request you not to spread false rumours. Let me tell you, even before this the news of Jahnavi’s foray into South films had come to the fore, then the actress herself had expressed her desire to work with Junior NTR.

However, reports have claimed that the director’s team has considered Jhanvi Kapoor to play the lead actress in ‘Paiya 2’ and they have not yet approached Jhanvi. So, still, there is a possibility for Jhanvi Kapoor to make her debut in the South film industry with the Tamil film ‘Paiya 2’, if the director convinces her for the role in the film.
On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor will soon be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Bawal’ opposite Varun Dhawan. He also has ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ with Rajkumar Rao. Directed by Sharan Sharma, this film is being made under the production house of Karan Johar.
