Box Office: ‘Uchhaai’ picks up pace in the first weekend, ‘Black Panther 2’ and ‘Kantara’ earn huge

Sooraj Barjatya’s film ‘Unchai’ has performed well at the box office in the first weekend. Earning better than expected, the film has collected Rs 9.66 crore in the first three days. The film, which was released in just 500 screens across the country, collected Rs 1.81 crore on the opening day, while on Sunday, the film made a huge jump of Rs 4.35 crore. On the other hand, Friday’s release ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ has collected a bumper Rs 42.2 crore in the first weekend in India. While Rishabh Shetty’s ‘Kantara’ has also collected Rs 75.95 crore in Hindi.

Uunchai is a story of relationships. A story of four friends living life and fulfilling their dreams in their retirement age. Starring veterans like Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Danny Denzongpa, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta and Sarika, the film is receiving a lot of appreciation. Makers have now decided to increase the film to 300 more screens from Monday after the positive response it is getting. That means from Monday this film will be shown on 800 screens. Interestingly, in the first three days, the film’s earnings have increased by 30-40 percent every day. But apparently its real test will be on Monday. If this film maintains its earning in crores in the first Monday test, then definitely it will last longer in theaters.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever continues to earn bumper earnings
On the other hand, Marvel Studios’ film ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, which released on Friday itself, is earning bumpers. The film has collected Rs 42.2 crore in the first weekend in the country. The highest grossing in this is Rs 28.05 crore from the English version, while the film has earned Rs 11.8 crore from the Hindi version. Black Panther 2 earned Rs 3.56 crore in Hindi on its opening day. On Sunday, this earning increased to Rs 4.34 crore. On the third day on Sunday, the film has done a business of Rs 14.74 crore in the country, including English, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil versions.

The film’s worldwide collection in 45 days has gone up to Rs 369.16 crore.
