However, with the massive release of Fast X on Thursday, The Kerala Story saw a drop in its collections. ‘Fast X’ became the first choice of the audience. This Hollywood blockbuster released at a premium and earned huge numbers everywhere considering its big screens. As a result, ‘The Kerala Story’ impressed and managed to collect only 9 crores on Saturday. The film will now earn slowly and it has full chances of reaching 200 crores.
Ban removed from Tamil Nadu
The High Court verdict has come to allow the film to be screened in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, but it has also ordered the makers to present the film not as a true story but as a fictionalized version of the subject. Claim it and show it. This is not just for the banned states but across India. The film has started showing in Tamil Nadu but it is yet to hit the theaters in West Bengal.

Responding to this, Vipul Shah said, ‘The journey of the film has been wonderful but there is still a long way to go. We were also accused of many types. They called us a propaganda film and what not. But the audience has responded to all that. The way the audience has accepted and appreciated the film and the love it has given is a response to all those allegations.
