Fawad Khan’s film ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ breaks all records, beats Bollywood films

New Delhi- On the occasion of Diwali, Siddharth Malhotra’s ‘Thank God’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Ram Setu’ clashed at the box office. But none of the films seem to be doing very well at the box-office. Not only this, both the films seem to be piling up outside the country as well. While on one hand these two big Bollywood films are not showing any good, on the other hand Pakistani film has shown amazing business abroad.

Fawad Khan’s film ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ is the biggest film of Pakistani cinema till date. The film released only two weeks ago and has become the highest-grossing Pakistani film of all time. It is the first Pakistani film to cross the 100 crore mark (in Pakistani rupees). In this film, Pakistan’s leading actress Mahira Khan is seen playing the lead role. Apart from Fawad and Mahira, Hamza Ali Abbasi and Humaima Malik have also appeared in this film.

According to a report in Pakistani newspaper ‘Dawn’, ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ earned a whopping Rs 38.5 lakh from 56 screens in the UK on the 13th day (27 October) of its release, while Ajay Devgn and Sidharth were on the same day. Malhotra’s ‘Thank God’ earned Rs 16 lakh from 83 screens, while Akshay Kumar’s ‘Ram Setu’ earned just Rs 13.6 lakh from 95 screens.
