Music composer MM Keeravani was talking about his excitement over his maiden Oscar win, when he revealed that it was ‘not to the point where you get breathless’. He said, ‘Award winning Guneet Monga. He was not given time to speak, so he breathed out and was also admitted to the hospital.

Guneet Monga had told that she was shocked when her mic was switched off. During the interview given to Bombay Times, Guneet said, ‘I did not get a chance to give my Oscar speech. I had a look of shock on my face. I just wanted to say that this is India’s first Oscar in an Indian production, which is a big deal. My heart started racing, because I couldn’t come this far and not be heard. I will go back there and make sure that I am heard.

The song ‘Naatu Naatu’ also got the award.

Significantly, Guneet Monga’s ‘The Elephant Whispers’ received the Oscar Award for Short Documentary Movie. At the same time, the song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from SS Rajamouli’s film RRR received the Oscar Award for Best Original Song.
