IFFI 2022: Challenge to 75 youth to make short films in 53 hours at the festival, Mani Ratnam will select the best

Mumbai. This year the 53rd International Film Festival of India (International Film Festival of India 2022) is being organized in Goa. In this festival, which runs from 20 November to 28 November, the youth will be challenged to make a short film within 50 hours. This year 75 youth from across the country have been selected as ‘Creative Minds of Tomorrow’ for the Goa Film Festival.

This year, a special challenge has been set for the creative youth of the country at the Goa Film Festival. 75 youths aged 18 to 35 will make a short film on 100 themes within 53 hours. For this, more than 1100 youths from across the country had applied, for which 75 youths from 19 states were selected by a 10-member jury.

Most of the youth are from Maharashtra
The 10 jury team including Prasoon Joshi, R. Balki, Delhi, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Jharkhand, Jammu Kashmir, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Manipur, Rajasthan, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, West Out of 1100 youth applications from Bengal, 75 have been selected as ‘Creative Minds of Tomorrow’. Of these, maximum 23 youths are from Maharashtra.

Mani Ratnam will choose the best short film
According to the information received, a UK company will help all these youths in short film making. The responsibility of assessing the talent of these youth has been entrusted to veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam. A jury headed by Mani Ratnam will select the best short film. Selected films will be screened at the festival and awards will be given on 25 November.

Please tell that the youngest youth in ’75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow’ is 18 years old. Arrangements have been made for all the selected youths to travel and stay in Goa and for training. The 53rd edition of the film festival is committed to showcasing the best of world cinema and providing a platform to filmmakers and audiences alike. OTT platforms will also get a place, apart from this, horror films will be in vogue this time.
