Jacqueline Fernandes got permission to go abroad, the court gave this condition, ED demanded to dismiss the petition

Jacqueline Fernandes’s difficulties in the money laundering case do not seem to be reducing. One of his petitions was heard in the court. Jacqueline had filed a petition seeking permission to go to Dubai, which was opposed by the ED in the court. The ED claimed that Jacqueline had earlier also sought permission to meet her mother in Dubai, which was rejected by the court. After this, Jacqueline sought permission to go to Dubai on January 16 and then withdrew the petition without giving any reason.

ED further said before the court that Jacqueline Fernandes has again sought permission to go to Dubai from 28 to 30 January. Jacqueline has started this petition to attend an event of PepsiCo. But the ED says that he should not be allowed to go to Dubai, as the crime has been committed there as well and its investigation is underway.

The ED argued before the court that the investigation into the role of Jacqueline Fernandes in the money laundering case is at a critical juncture. That’s why they should not be given permission to go abroad. Responding to the ED’s arguments, Jacqueline’s lawyer said that at the behest of the court, the petition filed to meet the mother was withdrawn.

Jacqueline Fernandes’s lawyer further said, “We know that the investigation is at a critical juncture. Till now we have complied with whatever conditions have been imposed by the court.” The lawyer further said that Jacqueline has been nominated for Oscar only yesterday. If he is not allowed to go to Dubai, then it will have a direct impact on the Oscars as well.

Jacqueline Fernandes’s lawyer said that if the permission to go to Dubai is not granted, then her contract between her and PepsiCo will be affected. On these arguments, the ED again reacted. The ED said, “Jacqueline Fernandes has been nominated for an Oscar. Good thing, but the Oscars event will be held in Los Angeles and not in Dubai. That’s why permission should not be given to go to Dubai.

While pronouncing the verdict, the media was thrown out of the court room. But the verdict was pronounced in favor of Jacqueline. The court has conditionally given permission to Jacqueline to go to Dubai. Jacqueline Fernandez’s lawyer Prashant Patil told that we had sought permission for Jacqueline Fernandez to go abroad from January 28 to 30, which was a professional commitment. He had to go out and perform, which the ED was continuously opposing.

Prashant Patil further said, “We had told that Jacqueline has been continuously present in every hearing held in the court. The next hearing is on 15 February. Apart from a fixed deposit of 1 crore, Jacqueline has got the permission of the court to go to Dubai on certain conditions.
