Karan Johar’s 7 films to be released in 12 months? From ‘Rocky…’ to ‘Yoddha’, this is the complete list

Bollywood’s famous director-producer Karan Johar is making a comeback after a long time with the film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. But do you know that he is planning to launch 7 films in 12 months! He has a long list of films in store for the audience and fans, let’s take a look at what all he has in store.

Karan Johar reportedly has around seven films currently in various stages of production. These include Vicky Kaushal and Tripti Dimri starrer ‘Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam’. Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani and Raashi Khanna starrer action movie ‘Yoddha’ is also set to release later this year.

One film each with Akshay Kumar and Sara

Apart from this, Karan is also working on KC Sakaran’s biopic, in which Akshay Kumar is playing the lead role. The actor was spotted earlier this week during the shooting of the film in Old Delhi. Sara Ali Khan’s ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ and ‘Sarjameen’ with Kajol are also in the works.

One movie will be released in OTT and the rest in theaters

Rounding off the list is the romantic comedy ‘Mr Aur Mrs Mahi’, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Sara’s film will be released on Direct OTT. There is a plan to release the rest of the films in theaters only.

Siddharth’s ‘Yoddha’ gets postponed!

The most awaited movie ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, in which Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will be seen together once again. It is going to release on July 27. Meanwhile, ‘Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam’ has been confirmed to release on August 25. There were rumors that Siddharth’s ‘Yoddha’ was ready for release in September, but Karan backed out because of Shahrukh’s ‘Jawaan’. The other two films, ‘Shankaran’ and ‘Sarjameen’ will reportedly release in 2024.
