New Delhi: Voting will be held today i.e. on Thursday for the by-elections to seven assembly seats in six states namely Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Telangana, Haryana and Odisha. The symbolic contest in this election is between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and regional parties. Voting will be held today for by-elections to Gola Gokarnath seat of UP, Dhamnagar seat of Odisha, Munugoda seat of Telangana, Mokama and Gopalganj assembly seat of Bihar, Adampur seat of Haryana and Andheri (East) assembly seat in Maharashtra. Voting on these seats will start at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm. According to the Election Commission, all the preparations for voting have been done and adequate security arrangements have been made at the polling places. The results of these by-elections will be out on November 6. Let us tell you that these by-elections are being held because the sitting MLAs of some seats have died, some have joined other parties and some have been convicted by the court.
