PM Modi started his Gujarat tour with a road show, presented projects worth 3400 crores to Surat

After the roadshow, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of several development projects costing more than Rs 3400 crore in Surat and addressed a public meeting. In his address, he thanked the people of Surat, mentioning their hard work and said that this city values ​​hard workers. The PM said that the traders of Surat are giving employment to crores of people of the country. He said, ‘The people of Surat can never forget the time when propaganda was being fueled here about epidemics, problems of floods. I had told one thing to the traders here that if Surat goes to the city’s branding, then every sector, every company will be branded automatically. The people of Surat have shown this by doing. I am happy that today Surat’s name is also included in the fastest growing cities of the world.

The PM said, ‘In the last 20 years, Surat has progressed faster than other cities. This fame is the proof of your hard work. The new drainage system here has given new life to the city. New technology has helped a lot in cleaning the city. There has also been a significant reduction in the number of slums here. Homes have been built for about 80,000 poor people living in slums. Due to this their standard of living has also improved. After the formation of the double engine government, the houses of the poor are also being built rapidly and they are getting other facilities fast. Out of this, more than 32 lakh patients are from Gujarat and about 1.25 lakh are from Surat. Apart from this, 35 lakh colleagues doing small jobs have got cheap loans from banks without guarantee.
