Raj Mehta, who made films like ‘Jab We Met’ and ‘Rockstar’, came out of jail after 6 and a half years

Three executive directors of Ashtavinayak Cinevision (producers of the film Jab We Met and Golmaal series) Rupen Amalani, Dhaval Jatania and Hiren Gandhi were released from jail in 2018 after serving nearly a year in jail. All three were imprisoned in Arthur Road Jail since 10 May 2017. He was accused of scam of Rs 824 crore and misappropriation of public funds.

Now Ashtavinayak’s head Raj Mehta and his son Dhillin Mehta (Managing Director) were jailed on 15 April 2015. At that time Raj was 57 years old and Dhillon was 33 years old. Now Raj is 63 and Dhillin is 39 years old.

After nearly 6.5 years, Raj Mehta (Harshad Purushottamdas Mehta) has got conditional bail and both will come out either this evening or tomorrow. Ashtavinayak Cinevision has produced movies like ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Golmaal’, ‘Rockstar’, ‘Kidnap’, ‘Blue’.
