In fact, a two-day meeting of the National Working Committee of the BJP OBC Morcha continues today in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan. The meeting was inaugurated by BJP’s OBC Morcha President R.K. Laxman and the party’s Rajasthan state president Satish Poonia. At the same time, Home Minister Amit Shah will address a session on the second day of this meeting today i.e. on Saturday.

Why is the meeting of OBC Morcha being held in Jodhpur itself?
BJP OBC Morcha meeting is being held in Jodhpur. The matter of BJP’s big political strategy being hidden behind this is coming to the fore. Actually Jodhpur district is the home region of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. It is believed that Ashok Gehlot has a great hold in this area. BJP wants Ashok Gehlot to be surrounded in his own house. BJP wants to strengthen the OBC vote bank in the state before the 2023 assembly elections. Jodhpur is the hometown of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot who comes from OBC caste.

Understand the equation of Marwar of Rajasthan

Let us tell you, the Jodhpur area, known as Marwar, is the largest division of Rajasthan, which includes six districts Jodhpur, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Sirohi, Pali. Of the total 200 assembly constituencies, 33 are in Jodhpur division, 10 of which are in Jodhpur district alone, and 14 of them are currently held by the BJP, 17 with the Congress, one independent and one with the National Democratic Party. That is, in the Jodhpur division, the BJP had lagged behind in the last assembly elections. In such a situation, it is the politics of BJP that maximum number of seats can be won in this division.
