Ranbir Kapoor was offered an important role in ‘Star Wars’, refused due to a fear

Ranbir Kapoor is getting a lot of praise for his recently released film ‘Brahmastra’. From film critics to the audience, everyone is liking his role. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, ‘Astraverse’ is a film based on the ‘Brahmastra’ mythology. People are particularly liking the ‘cinematography’ of this film. Brahmastra, which was released amidst tremendous demand for Boycott, is creating panic at the box office.

Although this is the first attempt to make such a grand superhero-based film in Indian cinema, you might be surprised to know that ‘Brahmastra’ actor Ranbir Kapoor had earlier also got a chance to be a part of a ‘super hero’ franchise. But the actor turned down that offer due to one of his fears.

Ranbir Kapoor was offered the second lead in the world famous franchise ‘Star Wars’. But due to the fear of audition, the actor turned down this golden opportunity. In an interview given to Rajeev Masand in 2016, Ranbir Kapoor mentioned that he was offered the role of the second lead in ‘Star Wars’ but he turned down the offer due to fear of his audition.

In the interview, he is seen saying that “I was asked to audition as the second lead in Star Wars a few years ago. But due to lack of confidence in my talent, I am very scared to give audition so I turned down that offer.”

Want to make your own ‘Star Wars’-
He further says that he was never particularly interested in this proposal but wants to make his own ‘Star Wars’ with Ayan Mukerji.

Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ ran at the box office
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Brahmastra’, which released on September 9, has crossed the 100 crore mark in the first week of its release. The film has recorded 23 records at the box office in its opening weekend. ‘Brahmastra’ has also left behind two superhit films of this year – ‘The Kashmir Files’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’ in terms of earnings.
