FIR against Richa
Ashok (Ashoke Pandit) on Thursday filed a complaint against the actress (Richa Chadha) at the Juhu police station in Mumbai and urged to register an FIR against her. Ashok says, ‘This attitude of a responsible citizen abusing and making fun of our security forces is not good. When I read the tweet, visuals of crying, shouting and screaming came to my mind when the dead bodies of the jawans arrived. Just because you are a celebrity, you cannot make fun of jawans, we are alive because of them. They protect the nation. You can’t make fun of them.’
You are insulting the country…
He further says, ‘You are insulting the country by putting them. This is an anti-national act of this woman. I thought that instead of just tweeting or showing my anger on social media, I felt that it was my duty as a citizen to stand by my soldiers. So that they do not feel that they are sacrificing their lives. In fact, I want to appeal to the entertainment industry to condemn. If you do not come in support of the security forces, then the hashtag, Boycott Bollywood is appropriate.
Richa spoke on the statement of the commander
On Wednesday, Richa had reacted to Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi’s statement that the Indian Army was ready to carry out any order to take back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Sharing the statement, Richa wrote on her Twitter handle, ‘Galwan Sage Hi.’ He faced backlash for his tweet, which many found derogatory and disrespectful to those who sacrificed their lives in the 2020 Galwan Valley clash.
He should be punished – Ashok Pandit
He later apologized for unknowingly hurting the sentiments of ‘Army brothers’ and said that he did not intend to hurt anyone. Ashok said, ‘He cannot say anything and later say sorry for it. I will see that action is taken against them. I will approach higher authorities and if needed, FIR will be lodged. One can say nothing and get away with a note apologizing. Sorry this is not the answer. He has committed a crime against the country and should be punished as per the law.
