Shahid Kapoor’s film Jersey was accused of stealing the script, finally the real reason came out

The release of Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur’s film ‘Jersey’ has now been postponed till April 22. Some time back there were reports that a writer Rajneesh Jaiswal had filed a case against the makers of the film alleging that the story/script of the film belonged to him.

Justice Chagla is hearing this matter in the Mumbai High Court today. According to a recent report in ‘ETimes’, the film was pushed for release in the court till next week and that question was specifically raised in its script.

Well, now the reason has come to the fore. A top source said that the makers felt that the case would go to court and it happened. The matter was to be heard in the Bombay High Court after lunch tomorrow, but it was adjourned for today and the hearing has not taken place even today. Now it has been postponed till tomorrow.

‘Jersey’ directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, presented by Allu Aravind and produced by Dil Raju, S. Produced by Naga Vamsi and Aman Gill. Shahid Kapoor will be seen playing a cricketer on the big screen for the first time in ‘Jersey’. Apart from them, the film will also star Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur in lead roles. The film is said to be a remake of the National Award winning Telugu sports drama ‘Jersey’, starring superstars Nani and Shraddha Srinath in the lead roles.
