Varun Dhawan cried remembering his late driver, said- ‘I will take a lot of time…’

New Delhi: Varun Dhawan wept remembering his late friend and driver Manoj Sahu, who died of a heart attack. Manoj was working with him for many years. The actor recently participated in a session titled ‘Why versatility, content and box office matter’ at the Mumbai Conclave 2022 organized by India Today.

Varun wept remembering his driver Manoj. Varun said, ‘Manoj, who worked with me for 26 years of my life, passed away. He thought he had Kovid-19 and he recovered after a week. He had a heart attack and died near me. This incident affected me very badly mentally, but being an actor everyone told me to move on.

Varun claims that whoever he is today, more than a director or producer, Manoj played a major role in his life. He says, ‘It has taken me a long time to find the courage to talk about it. But, to be honest, I am still struggling with it.

Varun also spoke about how Kovid-19 affected everyone’s life. He further said that he believes that everything is back to normal, like it was before the pandemic, but it is nothing more than a rat race.

Kovid-19 made him feel that he needed to slow down and look within, which affected his film choices. He says, ‘I think there is a bigger cause for which we are all here and I am trying to find my cause.’ When asked about ‘Bhediya’, the actor said that it is a good film and will entertain all the audiences. The horror comedy is directed by Amar Kaushik, who has previously directed hits like ‘Stree’ and ‘Bala’. Kriti Sanon and Abhishek Banerjee will also play important roles in the film.
