In this episode, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has told in its report that in the next 2-3 days, the southwest monsoon may return from some more parts of northwest India and adjoining parts of central India. On Tuesday, the IMD said in its report that during the next two days, isolated areas of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry may receive heavy rainfall. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during the next 4 days. On the other hand, heavy rain may occur in Odisha on 28 and 29 September. Apart from this, the IMD said that Andaman and Nicobar may receive moderate rains on September 29 and 30.

According to a Skymet Weather report, there is a possibility of dry weather in the plains of North India including parts of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan at least for the coming week. However, there is a possibility of some rain in the southern parts of Rajasthan including Baran, Bhilwara, Pratapgarh, Banaswara. According to the Skymet Weather report, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh and South Interior Karnataka today. Apart from this, light rain is possible at one or two places in Gujarat, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.

In its report on Sunday, the IMD said that during the next 5 days, there may be less rain activity in the plains of Northwest and Central India. Southwest Monsoon is likely to return from the national capital and adjoining areas by the weekend. The officials of the weather forecasting agencies have given this information. After 24 hours, an ‘anti-cyclone’ system will form over southwest Rajasthan and northwesterly winds will start over Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi, which will bring down the moisture content in the atmosphere, officials said.(from input language)
