During the conversation at the International Film Festival of India held in Goa last year, Pankaj Tripathi told the reason behind rejecting the offer of South’s films. The actor, who became a household name with his character of ‘Kalin Bhaiya’ in the web series ‘Mirzapur’, had said that language is not a barrier for him, but he prefers Hindi cinema as he is comfortable in Hindi.

Received offers from Telugu and Malayalam films-
Pankaj Tripathi had further said that he understands Hindi language better. He knows the feelings and nuances of this language better. He had told that he had received offers for many Telugu and Malayalam language films, but he rejected all those offers because he felt that he would not be able to do justice to other language films.

Has appeared in many films-
However, Pankaj Tripathi said that if he gets a Hindi-speaking character in films of other languages, then he is ready to do films in any language. Apart from ‘Mirzapur’, Pankaj Tripathi has been seen in films like ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, ‘Mimi’, ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Gunjan Saxena’.
