Admission in these universities will be done without CUET, Center gave big relief

CUET 2023: This time Common University Test (CUET) will have to be given for admission to graduation courses in Central Universities. Admission in many private universities will also be given through this. But the Ministry of Education (MoE) has exempted Central Universities of North East and HNBGU, Uttarakhand from taking admission through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2023. These universities were also allowed to take direct admission last year.

Regarding giving exemption from CUET, a letter has been written by the Center to the Vice-Chancellors of the concerned universities. The Center has attributed this decision to “limited digital connectivity and infrastructure” through a letter. Let us tell you that in this regard, the Chief Minister of Meghalaya had approached the Central Government on 12 March.

These universities have been given exemption from CUET
Sikkim University, Rajiv Gandhi University, Manipur University, Assam University, Tezpur University, Nagaland University, Tripura University, Mizoram University, North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), and Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (HNBGU) have been exempted from CUET by the Centre. given.

Here, Meghalaya Chief Minister K Sangma has thanked Dharmendra Pradhan on Twitter for considering his request. Sangma tweeted, “Thank you Hon’ble Union Education Minister, @dpradhanbjp ji for considering the request on behalf of our students to exempt NEHU affiliated colleges of Meghalaya from purview of #CUET for 2023-2024 .

Let us tell you that this time admission will be given in many other prestigious universities including JNU through CUET. This time around 16 lakh candidates have applied for CUET. At the same time, it is also being said that in two years JEE and NEET exams will also be merged with CUET. However, before taking this decision, the students will be declared before 2 years.

Giving information in this regard, the chairman of UGC had said in the past that we are working on this. Soon an official announcement will be made in this regard.
