CBSE changed syllabus like National Education Policy, students will no longer read Faiz’s poem

CBSE Syllabus 2022-23: The Central Board of Secondary Education has changed the syllabus of many subjects for the 2022-23 session. This change has been made in the subjects of class 9th to 12th under the National Education Policy. In class 9, the board has removed Chandrakant Devtale’s direction from the poetry section, Yamraj’s direction and Hazari Prasad Dwivedi’s text from the prose section, A dog and a myna and Vidyasagar Nautiyal’s soil text.

Talking about the 11th class, the rise of Islam from history and the removal of the Mughal Empire in the 12th class. At the same time, the poetry of Faiz Ahmed Faiz, given as an example in the matter of caste, religion and gender in chapter four, has been removed from the 10th class political science book. The Central Islamic Land chapter has been removed from the class 11th book titled World History. The Mughal Empire was removed from the ninth chapter from the history of class 12th. The board has also removed the emergence and development of man on earth in the Stone Age, Industrial Revolution from the 12th book.

The salt text has been removed from the Hindi subject in class 12th. It had a poignant story touching the hearts of people due to the resettlement of displaced people on both sides of the border after the Indo-Pak partition. Apart from this, the pages of Ann Frank’s diary have also been removed. From 10th class Sarveshwar Dayal Saxena’s divine glow of human compassion, George V’s nose, Rituraj’s Kanyadaan text have also been removed from the syllabus.
