The full name of TTE is Traveling Ticket Examiner. A person is deputed by the Indian Railways for the convenience of the passenger traveling by rail. Who checks the tickets of all the passengers and tells them their exact place. Along with this, the responsibility of noting their complaints also lies with the TTE. On the other hand, if a passenger does not have a proper travel ticket, then TTE also fines him as per the rules.
Apart from this, TTE also helps in providing food/refreshments etc. to the passengers. TTE takes steps even if the baggage of the passenger is stolen or lost. In addition, the TTE also bears the responsibility of keeping the train or the passengers on board the train away from any kind of damage.
How to become a TTE?
Indian Railway Board from time to time releases notification for the recruitment of TTE vacancies for which interested candidates can apply. You can also apply on the official website of Railways. Remember, Railway TTE Application has to be applied within the stipulated time frame. Also, the candidates can get the print out of the admit card by entering their online registration or date of birth as per the information instructions in which the candidates will conduct the examination at the scheduled examination center as per the scheduled date.
After clearing the exam you can become a TTE in Indian Railways. To crack this exam, special focus is required on its preparation. Questions from General Knowledge, Mathematics and Reasoning are specifically asked in the TTE exam for Railways. Obviously, these things must be mastered to pass this exam.

Education required to become a TTE
To become a TTE candidate must have passed 12th with 50% marks. Also, one must be an Indian citizen applying to become a TT. Also, the candidate can apply for Railway TTE from any state.

Along with good salary, TTE is also given many facilities. According to the seventh pay commission, a TTE now gets a salary of Rs 9400 to 35000. Apart from this Rs 1900 / – grade pay + DA + HRA + other allowance is also available. TT and his family members are also given the facility of free travel in the train to go anywhere.

After becoming TTE, you can also get promotion for different posts. You can also be selected on the posts of Senior Ticket Collector, Ticket Inspector, Head Ticket Collector, Chief Ticket Inspector etc. After getting promoted, your salary and facilities available will also increase.
