Institutions of Prayagraj proved to be laggards in NIRF ranking, MNNIT and IIIT out of top-10

BIRF Ranking 2023 Prayagraj: Prayagraj (Allahabad) is called the center of education of Uttar Pradesh. There are many national level institutes here. The students studying from where are hoisting their glory in the country and the world. But since last many years the foundation of education in Prayagraj has weakened. This is the reason why the ranking of many institutes here is also falling. The worst condition is of Allahabad University, known as the Oxford of the East. Recently released that in the ranking of 2023, the university could not even make it to the top-100.MNNIT out of top-10
As per the rankings, the state’s lone National Institute of Technology, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology-Allahabad (MNNIT) could not make it to the top-10. Although the institute is definitely included in the top-100. In 2021, MNIT secured 88th rank. Accordingly, its ranking had improved by five places as compared to 2020. Whereas in 2023 it got 93rd rank. However, among engineering colleges, the institute managed to break into the top-50 for the fifth time this year with a rank of 49. But in this also there has been a decline of two places. Because in 2022 it achieved 47th rank. Whereas in 2020 it achieved 42nd rank as against 48th rank in 2021.

IIIT, Jhalwa also performed poorly
Similarly Indian Institute of Information Technology-Allahabad (IIIT-A) has improved its position. Has achieved 89th rank among engineering colleges as compared to 97th rank in 2022. However, the institute does not participate in the overall ranking. In 2021, the institute got 87th rank. And in 2020, he got 103rd rank. In 2019 it is ranked 82nd among engineering colleges.

Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS) made it to the top-100
The Issam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj has secured the 70th position in the top-100 colleges offering courses in pharmacy. In 2022 it got 79th rank while in 2020 it achieved 56th rank.

Allahabad University’s poor performance continues like every time
No other institute of Prayagraj including Allahabad University has managed to achieve NIRF ranking. This is the 5th time in a row that the university has not found a place in the top 100 institutions of the country. On being left out of the NIRF ranking, AU Vice Chancellor Professor Sangeeta Srivastava said that despite all the efforts, the ranking of the institute has not improved. We will try to remove those shortcomings.
