Only dream of joining civil service or defense service
19-year-old Shanan hails from Haryana. She did her schooling from Army School and is currently pursuing her BA from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University. She says that she was completely clear about her purpose. They had to either appear in the Civil Services Examination or register their appearance in the Defense Services Examination. When NDA notification came, he applied immediately.
Has been meritorious since school days
Shanan has been a meritorious student since her school days. He secured 97.4% marks in 10th exam and 98.2% in 12th exam. Regarding preparation, Shanan says that if his basics were clear, he did not have to work hard. Along with this, he also started preparing for the personality test.
Inspiration to join the army from father and grandfather
Shanan believes that joining the army does not mean any work but service to the country. His family is attached to the army only. Shanan was encouraged to join the army from his grandfather Subedar Chandrabhan Dhaka and his father Nayak Subedar Vijay Kumar Dhaka.
