While one gets success in the first attempt itself, it also takes many attempts for many candidates to reach their destination. But it is said that those who work hard never give up. The journey of UPSC topper Tapasya Parihar makes this sentence true (UPSC Success Story). He achieved success by securing All India Rank 23 in his second attempt.

Turning to civil service after law
The journey of penance starts from Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh. She completed her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya and then went to Indian Law Society, Pune’s Law College to pursue law. After doing law, Tapasya (UPSC Topper Tapasya Parihar) thought of turning to UPSC and joined coaching to prepare for civil services exam. But it is totally wrong to say that joining coaching is a guarantee of success in the examination.

Success in second attempt
Tapasya joined coaching but failed in the prelims exam in the very first attempt of UPSC. After the failure in her first attempt, Tapasya decided that she would do self-study and would definitely register her name in the list. She made her own strategy and decided that she would make maximum notes and study with the help of answer papers. With the help of her better strategy, Tapasya achieved success by securing rank 23 in her second attempt.

father is farmer
Tapasya comes from a backward village where only 800 people live and the literacy rate is 63 percent. His father Vishwas Parihar is a farmer but when Tapasya told about his UPSC dream in front of his family members, he got full support from the family members. His UPSC journey tells us what our background is like and it doesn’t matter how many times we fail. What matters is our determination and hard work.
