Relaxation in length will be given to women candidates belonging to Extremely Backward Castes (EBC) and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC-ST) by the Government of Bihar. This information was given by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in response to a question in the Assembly on Monday. Answering the question, the Chief Minister said that this decision has been taken so that women candidates belonging to these categories can also join the police force.

According to the Chief Minister, women candidates belonging to Extremely Backward Castes (EBC) and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC-ST) will be able to easily join the police. He said that speedy action will be initiated so that the rule of length relaxation can be implemented at the earliest. Let us tell you that MLA Anil Kumar raised the issue of reducing the height of women candidates belonging to Extremely Backward Castes (EBC) and Scheduled Castes and Tribes (SC-ST).

However, while answering the question, in-charge minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav had said that the government has no case pending for giving relaxation in length to women candidates belonging to Extremely Backward Castes (EBC) and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC-ST). On this, BJP leader Nand Kishore Yadav said that questions are asked here so that the government improves its provisions. On this, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar himself intervened and said that the state government will immediately consider relaxation in the length of women candidates of these categories.

In such a situation, it is believed that soon a rule will be issued to give 5 cm relaxation in length to women candidates belonging to Extremely Backward Castes (EBC) and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC-ST). However, the matter regarding the 7th phase teacher recruitment did not come up in the Vidhansabha. In such a situation, it is believed that the 7th phase teacher recruitment may take more time.
