UPSSSC Group C Technical Assistant Exam Challenged In Allahabad High Court: The Allahabad High Court has sought answers from the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Board (UPSSSC) and the state government regarding a recruitment examination. This exam is Group C Technical Assistant Exam (UPSSSC Group C Technical Exam 2022) of Agriculture Department. A total of 2059 posts (UP Government Job) are to be filled through this recruitment process. However, now a petition has been filed in the court against the appointment process to be done under this examination.

Who filed the petition –
This petition was filed by Shans Tiwari and 11 other people. Hearing this and after hearing the arguments of Advocate Prashant Mishra and Public Prosecutor, Justice Sangeeta Chandra has sought answers from the State Government and the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Board on this issue.

What is the matter –
In the petition filed against this examination, it has been said that on 08 August 2018, the commission issued a notice and regarding the eligibility of these posts, it was said that B.Sc Agriculture and equivalent degree holders can apply for this examination. Whereas according to the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Agriculture Services Rules 1993, there is no rule like equivalent degree in it.

What does the state government’s advocate have to say?
In this case, the counsel for the state government argued that the recruitment process for this examination has been completed. The petition has been filed late. Along with this, the mandate dated 08 August 2018 has not been challenged. However, the court has said that the final decision will depend on the final decision of the petitioners’ case.

What the court has to say –
The court said that the government has tried to change the recruitment rules through notification without changing the rules. Along with this, the commission and the state government have also been directed by the court to file a reply in eight weeks. Not only this, the petitioner has also been given the freedom to challenge the mandate by amending the petition.
